Leaving early feels inconvenient. Leaving late can be dangerous.
Set Triggers Now
Decide your triggers before stress hits.
Examples:
- Official evacuation warning
- Smoke visible from your area
- Water rising near the road
- Power out and heat unsafe
- A required medicine is running low
Your triggers should fit your home, health, pets, and local risks.
Know The Slow Items
Some things take longer than you think. Loading pets, medicine, documents, fuel, and kids can eat time.
